Jude Law isn’t just a hit on the big screen; he’s a force to be reckoned with on Broadway as a 2010 Tony contender.
The “Talented Mr. Ripley” and “Cold Mountain” Academy-Award nominee will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play category for his performance in “Hamlet,” according to the Tony Awards Administration Committee.
The committee met today for the first time this season to decide the eligibility of 10 Broadway productions for the 2010 American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards, presented by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing.
Other actors or productions considered eligible include:
•Michael McKean will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play category for his performance in “Superior Donuts.”
•Jan Maxwell will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play category for her performance in “The Royal Family.”
•Oleanna will be considered eligible in the Best Revival of a Play category.
•Bill Irwin will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical category for his performance in “Bye Bye Birdie.”
•Chad Kimball and Montego Glover will be considered eligible in the categories of Best Performance by a Leading Actor/Actress in a Musical respectively for their performances in “Memphis.”
•”After Miss Julie” will be considered eligible in the Best Revival of a Play category.
•Marin Ireland will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play category for her performance in “After Miss Julie.”
The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 13, 2010. For more information on the Tony Awards, please visit the

British actor Jude Law is to judge Heath Ledger’s namesake scholarship competition, according to reports.
The late Batman star died of a drugs overdose in January 2008, before completing his final movie The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus. Following his death, Law took over his role, along with Hollywood actors Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.
Talking about judging the competition, Law, 36, said: ‘I am delighted and honoured to do what I can to keep Heath’s legacy alive.
‘He was a brilliant actor and a wonderful man and it is only fitting that this scholarship has been developed in his name.’
The Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship provides aspiring Aussie actors with the chance to further their acting careers in the US.
Oliver Ackland won the $10,000 scholarship prize last year.
The recipients for this year’s scholarship will be revealed in February 2010.

Jude Expecting His Fourth Child

Jude is supposedly expecting his fourth child, with an unknown woman, sources are saying. Congratulations! 
Adding to his already sizeable family, Jude Law is expecting a fourth child with an unidentified female lover.
The “Sleuth” stud already has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost, but the latest reports tell that he’s ready to add to his brood.
“Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year,” his rep told press.
“Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made.”

Darren Lynn Bousman of Repo! The Genetic Opera and his followers will now have something new to scoff at. Universal announced today it is changing the title of its organ harvesting thriller Repossession Mambo to Repo Men! Starring Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Alice Braga, the film isn’t expected to hit theaters until the winter of 2010.
Also, Universal picked up Gold Circle Films’ The Fourth Kind and is giving it a November 6th release. The film, starring Milla Jovovich, is described as a fact-based thriller involving an ongoing unsolved mystery in Alaska, where one town has seen an extraordinary number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover-up.

Rumours and Candids
Hey guys, Jude is super busy lately! I’m trying to update as fast as I can, and hopefully you all are pleased with me so far. I’m trying. If you run into any news that we don’t have posted yet, leave a comment and we will credit you.
Now, there is a certain rumor going around lately that I’m not too fond of, and I don’t honestly believe it. Supposedly, Jude was seen hitting a woman photographer. If it is real, no one knows if it was by accident or not. Check it out
He’s been known to lose his temper from time to time, and last night (July 22) Jude Law was accused of hitting a female paparazzo.
It was a typical night for the “Alfie” star, as he greeted his fans following his “Hamlet” performance before attending a dinner hosted by director Christopher Nolan.
And when he emerged from the private party, there was a plethora of paparazzi waiting to snap up his pic. That’s when the alleged incident occurred.
Harsha Gopal, a 28-year-old female shutterbug, claims Law struck her in the head. She explained, “He hit me full in the face. It was a real stinger, it was very sore.”
But Jude’s law man tells a very different story. “This is all nonsense. Last night’s incident was an accident. Jude was blinded by the camera flashes when he left the restaurant, raised his hand to shield himself and inadvertently struck somebody standing very close. He apologised and left. Pictures of this sort can often be misleading.”

Comic-Con, New Stills, and Cameron & Jude?
Well, things are certainly busy in the life of Mr. Law lately. Here’s just a little bit about it.
The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus is supposedly going to be on Comic-Con this year. I’m not sure if Jude is going to be appearing himself, but from the looks of things he won’t be. Here is a little information about it anyways:

4:30-5:15 Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus— Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of both Comic-Con and Monty Python, we welcome the sole American Python, the great animator and director Terry Gilliam (Time Bandits, Brazil, 12 Monkeys) to introduce you to his new film starring Christopher Plummer, Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Verne Troyer, Tom Waits, and Lily Cole. Dr. Parnassus is a fabulous anachronism, touring the streets of modern-day London in a horse-drawn carnival wagon accompanied by his beautiful daughter, devoted dwarf, and neophyte barker.
